Spear & Jackson Masonry Paint Smooth.

Masonry Paint from Spear & Jackson is a water based product for a smooth, protective and decorative finish.

Ideal for use on most exterior walls including brickwork, concrete, rendering, pebbledash and roughcast.

The perfect paint to bring the outside of your home to life.

Preparation

All surfaces must be sound, clean and dry, free from grease, mould and algae
If mould and algae are present, treat with fungicidal wash, remove with stiff brush and scraper, then treat again the surface with fungicidal wash
Remove completely any flaking paint, distemper or lime wash
Chalky under bound surfaces must be dry brushed and treated with stabilising solution

Application

Stir well before use
Apply the paint evenly by brush or roller, avoid overspreading
Two coats will normally achieve the desired finish depending on the nature of the substrate
Ensure good ventilation during application and drying; do not apply in temperatures below 10?C, or when rain is imminent

Coverage

Spear & Jackson Smooth Masonry Paint will cover approximately 10m² per litre depending on the nature and porosity of the substrate
Strong contrasting colours may require additional coats

Drying Time

Under normal conditions touch dry in 2 to 4 hours
Allow 8 hours between coats

After Use

Remove as much paint as possible from painting equipment; clean equipment immediately after use using warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly
Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste paint; do not empty waste paint into drains or water course
Replace lid firmly after use
Protect from frost

If you are not happy with a purchase you make at one of our stores, simply return the product in its original condition with proof of purchase within 30 days and we’ll give you a full refund or replacement.

Customers are advised that refunds and credit notes will only be given where proof of purchase (receipt, credit card statement etc.) is provided. To qualify for a refund or replacement, products need to be complete with all components and original packaging.

Conditions apply to some products:

Audio/DVD and computer games: Refunds and exchanges cannot be given on these products. Should any prove to be faulty it can be returned with your receipt within 30 days and we will exchange it for one of the same title.
Unwanted food or drink products: Once supply conditions are broken, there are a number of factors outside of our control that can affect the quality of a product. Therefore, perishable goods such as food and drink cannot be returned.
Personal grooming products: For reasons of hygiene and safety, cosmetics or items of intimate clothing cannot be returned.
Bedding: Mattresses, mattress toppers, duvets and pillows can only be returned if they are unused, in the original packaging and in a resaleable condition.
Plants: Any plant product cannot be returned to store.
With faulty electrical goods, customers have 12 months to return any faulty electrical item as long as proof of purchase is provided. This could be the original receipt, however any other legitimate record, such as a bank statement will suffice.
Any other faulty return, should be returned within a reasonable time frame with a proof of purchase provided.

This policy is offered in addition to your statutory rights.
